So maybe it's just feeling like I need to switch due to the familiarity of a certain guitar's characteristics within a certain amp model.

It's hard to say how much of my preferences are due to strength and weaknesses of each software sim and how much is simply due to having tweaked a lot of presets but each preset was created while playing a particular guitar. The effects in each sim are different enough that I'd feel like someone stole half of my "pedals" if I only had one sim or the other The Plexi stuff in Amp3 is better to my ears than the same in GR4 when using the Strat. I find the Orange, tweed and Vox amps in GR4 are more to my liking than the same models in Amp3 when I'm using the Les Paul. there are exceptions to the rule though because I've developed lots of presets and sometimes I just 'know' which preset sound I'm looking for and will go there regardless of the particular guitar. Off the top of my head I'd say my Les Paul has me switching to GR4 most of the time where my Strat with single coils has me almost always in Amp3. I'm curious to see whether it sounds good with traditional "guitar-oriented" speakers like Celestions, Jensen, Eminence, etc.or if I'm better off going for something with a flatter response, like a PA/vocal speaker.)Ĭan you give us more details? what type of guitars sound better on which one? (Ultimately, I plan on running AT3 through a tube power amp, and trying different speaker combinations to see what works best. nebula business suite 1.4.3 r wipe clean 9 6 build 1797 cod4mw 1 6 1 7 demian007 ik multimedia amplitube 3 v3.5.2 standalone vst wtse. demian007 IK Multimedia AmpliTube 3 v3.5.2 STANDALONE VST WTSE.

In otherwords, GR4 sounds like great tone recorded AT3 makes it feel like you're the one sitting in the studio recording it. But whereas GR4 sounds like a recording of a great guitar tone, AT3 sounds (and feels) like you're sitting in the control booth of a studio, listening on studio monitors to your amp that's mic'ed up in the main room. It's kinda the same with AT3 it still doesn't quite have the punch or presence of an actual tube amp. Pra quem tem Amplitube ou GuitarRig digo atodos que este vst é ainda melhor que o Lead800 do. GR4 sounds like a recording of a great guitar sound The actual tones are excellent.but it still doesn't quite feel or respond like a "real" amp. I had to switch to a different plexi/jcm simulator. Both are very good products.but I find the tones in AT3 feel a bit more "real" than GR4.
